Donna Waye Glosson, 73, of Burlington, a beacon of love and positivity, passed away peacefully on February 25, 2026, at the Hospice Home in Burlington, NC. Born on November 29, 1952, in Chatham Co., NC, Donna's life was a testament to the power of kindness and the strength of familial bonds. Donna was a cherished member of her community and a proud graduate of Graham High School, class of 1971. Her love for her classmates remained steadfast throughout the years, as she delighted in their reunions and the shared memories of days gone by. Donna's professional journey was marked by her dedicated service as an Admin Clerk at UNC Hospital, where her warmth and efficiency were appreciated by all who worked alongside her. A devout Christian, Donna found her spiritual home at The Gathering Church, where she nurtured her faith and formed lasting friendships. Her religion was a cornerstone of her existence, guiding her through life's challenges with grace and unwavering belief. Donna's creative spirit shone brightly through her crafts and needlepoint, activities that brought her immense joy and solace. These hobbies were more than pastimes; they were expressions of the love she had for the world around her, woven into every stitch. Above all, Donna's love for her family was the most profound aspect of her life. She is survived by her adoring daughter, Brooki Lane Williams and her partner Jeremy Wyrick; her sister, Gaye G. Long and her husband Paul; her brothers, Jeff Glosson and his wife Lisa, and Jerry Glosson and his wife Renee. Her legacy of love also lives on through her many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins, who will forever cherish the memories they created together. Donna was preceded in death by her parents, Carlyle and Wanda Collins Glosson, and her niece, Abbey Glosson. The loss of these beloved family members was felt deeply by Donna, yet she continued to approach life with a positive outlook that inspired all who knew her. As we bid farewell to Donna Waye Glosson, we celebrate a life lived with unwavering optimism and an open heart. Her memory will continue to be a guiding light for her family and friends, reminding us all to cherish the moments we have and to spread kindness wherever we go. Donna's spirit will forever be woven into the fabric of the lives she touched, a beautiful pattern of love and legacy that will never fade.
A funeral service will be held at 12:00 Noon on Monday March 2, 2026, at the McClure Funeral Home Chapel in Graham with the Pastor John Shields officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00 until 11:45 AM prior to the service on Monday and other times at the residence of her niece, Gayla Babiak on Sunday and Monday following the service. Burial will be held at Graham Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Gathering Church at https://www.thegatheringachristiancommunity.org/give/
