Donna Marie (Younts) Holt

Donna Younts Holt, 73, passed away on March 19, 2025 after a courageous battle with prolonged illness. She handled her diagnoses of multiple autoimmune diseases and ultimately renal failure with great strength, drawn from her faith and her love of family.

Donna was the wife of 52 years of Joseph V. Holt, III. She was born in Alamance County to the late William Daniel Younts and Mary Elizabeth Glen Younts. Donna was a 28+ year employee of Alamance County Hospital and Alamance Regional Medical Center, initially as an x-ray technician then as a technician in the nuclear medicine department.

In addition to her husband, Donna is survived by three sons, Bill Holt and wife, Cyndi; Joey Holt and wife, Kim; and Tommy Holt; six grandchildren, Trey and Clint Phillips; Kobe and Blossom Khoumrasmy; and Davis and Colin Holt; siblings, Dana Younts and Mark Younts (Jackie); and siblings-in-law Tim Holt (Vicki) and Lou Ann Phifer. Survivors also include a multitude of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. In addition to her parents, Donna was preceded in death by a sister-in-law, Cindy Holt.

Donna’s favorite thing to do was spend time with her family and friends, especially her children and grandchildren, who she loved dearly. She enjoyed decorating for the holidays and giving gifts, planting flowers and hosting cookouts, pool parties and holiday gatherings.

A service to celebrate her life will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, March 22, 2025 at McClure Funeral Service (Graham) Chapel by Reverand David Braddy. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, March 21, 2025 at McClure and at other times at the home of Donna’s son Bill.
