Dorcas Creek Cox

Mrs. Dorcas C. Cox, 86, formerly of 1125 Southern Oak Drive in Hagerstown, MD. passed away January 8th, 2014 at Peak Resources of Alamance in Graham, NC. Born July 1st, 1927 in Royal Oaks, MI, she was the daughter of the late Roy and Helen Creek. Mrs. Cox received training as a registered nurse from the Hospital of University of Pennsylvania. She retired from Washington County Hospital, where she was a registered nurse. She was a longtime member of St. Andrew United Methodist Church. She is survived by son, Robert N. Cox and wife Kim of Woodland Park, CO; daughter, Beverly King and husband Sterlin of Mebane, NC; and three grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Robert N. Cox Sr.; and brother, Thomas R. Creek Jr. A memorial service will be conducted on Wednesday, January 15th, 2014 at 11:00AM at St. Andrews United Methodist Church. Officiating will be Rev. Mike Henning. Interment will follow at Piney Plains United Methodist Church Cemetery in Little Orleans, MD. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Andrews UMC, 1020 Maryland Ave., Hagerstown, MD. 21740.
