Doris Bowman

Mrs. Doris Jean Massey Bowman, 76, of Burlington, NC, passed away on April 13, 2018 at the Presbyterian Home of Hawfields. A native of Alamance County, NC, she was the daughter of the late Calvin C. Sr. and Ruby Reagan Massey and the wife of the late James Calvin Bowman Sr. She loved to spend time with her family especially when it came to her grandchildren. She loved and admired her special dog Shadow. Survivors include her daughter, Tonya B. Brewer; daughter in law, Toni Bowman; her 6 loving grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren; sisters, Gwenn Teer, Nancy Willis, Jeanette Wright, Kathy Massey, and Debbie Bradshaw; brother, Bobby Massey and many loving nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by her son, James Calvin Bowman Jr.; sister, Janice Dameron and her brothers, Calvin C. Massey Jr., Wayne Massey, Billy Massey, Lynwood Massey, and Ricky Massey. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday April 18, 2018 at the McClure Funeral Home Chapel in Graham with the Pastor Dwight Dameron officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home.
