Doris Drusilla Foust Crawford

GRAHAM - Mrs. Doris Drusilla Foust Crawford, 89, of 506 Dixon Road, Graham, NC, passed away at 8:30 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 2, 2013, at her residence. She was the daughter to the late Henry O. Foust and Lovie Matherly Foust. Mrs. Crawford was a native of Pittsylvania County, Va., born Jan. 7, 1924, and was known to be a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend to many. Survivors include daughters, Judy C. Pittman and husband Jerry, of Graham, and Debra C. Foster and husband Eddie, of Snow Camp; sons, Larry G. Crawford and wife Margaret, of Graham, Jerry Dale Crawford and wife Barbara, of Kill Devil Hills, NC, and Ronald Eric Crawford and wife Carol, of Jamestown, NC; 10 grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, and two great great-grandchildren. Other than her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Allen Graham Crawford; a sister, Stella Foust Carden; brothers, Kerston Foust, Odie Foust, Earlie Foust, and Willie Foust. A graveside service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 5, 2013, at Alamance Memorial Park with the Rev. Bobby Gilley officiating. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. prior to the service at McClure Funeral Home in Graham, and other times at the residence of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Hospice and Palliative Care Center of Alamance/Caswell at 918 Chapel Hill Road, Burlington, NC 27215.The family wishes to extend their deep appreciation to the Hospice Home and staff for their care and love.
