Doris Graves Liggins

Doris Liggins, 91, passed away on October 16, 2018.  She was born on January 30, 1927 to the late Rev. Lewis Graves and Mary P. Graves. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.  Doris enjoyed gardening, researching family ancestry and collecting old photos of family members.  She was an avid church member at Martin’s Chapel and a church historian.

Survivors include her daughter; Wanda Liggins, sisters; Lula Graves (Herbert), LaCheata Hall (Nat), broters; Lewis Graves and Carl Graves (Dorothy), grandchildren; Anthony E. Williamson, Louie Williamson and Marcus Williamson, five great grandchildren, a special sister in-law, Patty Tinnin and a host of family and friends.

Other than her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Stadler Liggins Jr. and sons Anthony Williamson and Michael Liggins.

A funeral service will be held at 2pm on Sunday October 21, 2018 at Martin’s Chapel.  The family will receive friends at the church on Sunday from 1:30-2:00 prior to the service. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
