Dorothy Cecil

Dorothy May Horner Cecil, 78, of Reidsville died Monday, August 27 at Moses Cone Hospital. She was a native of Orange County, worked in the Hosiery Industry and was a CNA.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Jasper Frank & Bessie Hunley Horner; husband,  Joel Thomas Cecil; sons;  Wayne Thomas Cecil, Ronnie Joel Cecil; grandson, Michael Wayne Cecil; brothers, Elbert Horner, Jessie Horner; sister, Gladys Hall.

She is survived by her granddaughters, Cynthia Cecil and fiancé Donald Pruitt of Reidsville, Crystal Liles & husband Erik of Gibsonville & Terri Cecil and fiance Keith Faucette of Efland,; numerous great grandchildren; brothers, Thurman Horner of Elon, Ned Horner & wife Connie of Franklin; sisters, Ruby Couch of Asheboro, Betty Shelton of SC; numerous nieces and nephews.

A service to celebrate her life will be held 1:00 PM Saturday, September 1 at the McClure Funeral Home Chapel in Mebane. The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home Saturday from 11:00 – 1:00 before the service. Online condolences may be sent to www.mcclurefuneralservice.net
