MEBANE - D. Anne Heiland Gephart, 87, of Burlington, N.C. (past seven years) died March 26, 2014, at The Oaks. A memorial service is planned for 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 29, at The Oaks of Alamance, 1670 Westbrook Ave., Burlington, N.C. – as long as the Tar Heels are not playing.Mrs. Gephart was born June 25, 1926, in Ohio, the daughter of Walter and Irene Breen Heiland of Dayton, Ohio. She married her husband Gail on June 20, 1947 – 66 years ago. Her husband survives and resides in Burlington.Also surviving are her son, David, of Hillsborough and daughter, Robyn G. Lam of Pinehurst, five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.Mrs. Gephart attended Miami University and worked for Frigidaire in Ohio, volunteered with Scouts, and was a homemaker. Having lived in Ohio, Florida, Illinois, Michigan, and North Carolina, she had a love of traveling, reading, cooking, the Tar Heels, and most of all, loved her husband Gail.Wendy's will miss her patronage of their Frostys; apologies for any overdue books at the library; and we will miss her terribly!Condolences may be offered at www.mcclurefuneralservice.net -
