BURLINGTON - Douglas Eugene "Maytag" Overman, 55, of Burlington died Tuesday, December 20, 2016 at Alamance Regional Medical Center. He was a native of Alamance County and was a certified appliance technician at Allgood Appliance, an avid Carolina fan, loved to play golf and was a big Bobby Labonte and of the Baptist Faith. He was preceded in death by his father, Dewey Lee Overman, Jr. and brother, Gary Lee Overman. He is survives by his mother, Shirley Stadler Ragle & husband Rev. John H. Ragle of Burlington; sister, Donna Overman & fiancé Jerry Hughes of Burlington; Brother Roger Dale Overman (Linda) of Burlington; nephews, Jeremy Lyons and fiancé Jolyn Basco, Brandon Markham and fiancé Angi Baily, Chris Smith and Kevin Overman; nieces, Nikki Overman Shelton & husband Court and Crystal Overman; great-nephew, Carter Shelton; several aunts, uncles and friends and his best friend Psycho. A service to celebrate his life will be held Tuesday, December 27, 2016 at the McClure Funeral Home Chapel in Graham by Rev. Ron Moore. Burial will follow in Alamance Memorial Park.
