Earl Cates

Earl Cates, 79, passed away on Sunday, September 27, 2026, Alamance Health Care. Heas the son of the late Claudie and Helen Cates. He is survived by his wife, Sandra Cates; son, John Cates and a daughter, Beverly “Bev” Cates. Other than his parents he was preceded in death by his sister Patricia Thompson. The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 1, 2026, at McClure Funeral Serin Mebane from 1pm-2pm. A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 2pm in the McClure Funeral Chapel.
