Edna Carter Webster, 101, of Burlington moved to her Heavenly Home on Sunday, September 3, 2017 at her home. She loved and served God daily through her life of loving service for others. Born March 21, 1916 in Lynchburg, VA to AJ “John” Carter and Annie C. Carter both deceased. A native of Caswell County she has been a resident of Alamance County since 1965. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by four sisters and eight brothers. Her husband: Fred Webster, Sr.. Son: Pvt. John Thomas Webster. Grandson: Darrell Webster and Great Grandson: Brad Barnes. She is survived by sisters: Ida Montgomery and Hallie Allen (Vernon) both of Burlington and Hilda Mise of Yanceyville. Many nieces and nephews. Son: Fred Webster, Jr. (Joyce) of Elon. Daughters: Louise Aldridge of Yanceyville, Iantha Huey of N. Myrtle Beach, SC, Jane W. Smith and Gail Horner (Jody) both of Elon. Thirteen Grandchildren, Twenty two great grandchildren, nine great great grandchildren. The family will receive friends at Beulah Baptist Church from 1 until 2 Friday, September 8, 2017 prior to the service at 2 PM. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
