Ellen Kimball Albright

MEBANE, N.C. - Mrs. Ellen Kimball Albright, 88, passed away Sunday Nov. 24, 2013, at her residence after one year of declining health.She was the daughter of the late Julian Harry Sr. and Almedia Youmans Kimball.Mrs. Albright was a member of the Hawfields Presbyterian Church. She was proud to have worked at all of the county hospitals before retiring from Alamance Regional Medical Center with 53 years of service. She was an avid gardener and enjoyed sewing, crafts and playing canasta. She also enjoyed her visits with her family at Cracker Barrel.Survivors include her children, Bill Albright, Lynne A. Henderson (Claude) and Carol A. Phillips; grandchildren, Kimball Ray (Walter), Michelle A. Johnson (Ronnie Rowe), Tammy A. Coriel (Maurice), Jon Hawk, Andrew Royal and Amanda Royal; great- grandchildren, Taylor Ray (Leslie) and Payton Ray; and great-great-grandchild, Kennedy Ray.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Linwood Albright; and a brother, Julian Harry Kimball Jr. The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 27, 2013, at the Hawfields Presbyterian Church with the Rev. David Ealy and the Rev. Larry Janey officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 26, 2013 at the McClure Funeral Home in Graham and at other times at the residence.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Hawfields Presbyterian Church, 2115 NC 119 South, Mebane, NC 27302 or to the Hospice and Palliative Care center of Alamance-Caswell, 918 Chapel Hill Road, Burlington, NC 27215.The family of Mrs. Albright would like to extend a special thank you to the Presbyterian Home of Hawfields, the physicians at the Vein and Vascular Specialists in Greensboro and to Hospice of Alamance-Caswell for their love and support during this difficult time.
