Ellon Williams Pruitt

Ellon Pruitt, 97, of Burlington, NC received her wings on December 30, 2023, at the Hospice home. She was the daughter of the late Frontis Williams and Carlie Stewart Williams of Wingate NC.

She worked in an office for over 30 years and lived in Monroe NC for 78 years before moving to Burlington and living with her daughter for the last 19 years. She never met a stranger and made so many new friends in her new home through church, cooking, cards at the senior center, and in her neighborhood. She loved jigsaw puzzles, word searches, the Atlanta Braves, and her Carolina Tar Heels.

In addition to her parents, Ellon was preceded in death by her husband, Oscar Pruitt, her daughter Renee Baucom, and her grandson, Brent Smith.

Mrs. Pruitt is survived by her daughter, Patsy Jourdan and husband Ralph; her granddaughters, Connie Riddle and husband Andy, Mandy Fields and husband Brett; her grandson, Andrew Baucom and wife, Lauren; her granddaughter-in-law, Carol Smith; and her great-grandchildren, Nate Smith, Drew Riddle, Alleigh Fields, Anderson Fields, Cooper Riddle, Alex Fields, Naomi Baucom, and Laila Baucom.

A celebration of life service will be held at McClure Funeral Home in Graham on Sunday, January 14, 2024, beginning at 2:00pm. A visitation will be held for the family to receive friends prior to the service, beginning at 1:00pm.
