Elma Edith Laws Mebane

Mrs. Elma Edith Laws Mebane, 101, of Mebane, NC, passed away on Friday May 18, 2018 at the Presbyterian Home of Hawfields. She was a longtime member of Hebron United Methodist Church and was the daughter of the late Charlie and Eunice Harris Laws. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Mitchell Mebane; brother, Marvin Laws; a sister, Mildred Efland. She is survived by her daughter, Diane Petty and Husband Wayne; her grandson, Josh Petty and wife Drea; and her great granddaughter, Emerson Petty and many loving nieces and nephews. A special thank you is extended to Mrs. Mebane’s many dedicated caregivers at the Presbyterian Home of Hawfields and to the Amedisys Hospice Care for their assistance. The family will receive friends from 4 until 6 PM on Monday May 21, 2018 at the McClure Funeral Home in Mebane. A memorial service will be held at a later date at the Presbyterian Home of Hawfields.
