Elmo "Lb" Parrish

Mr. Elmo “LB” Parrish, 83 of Mebane, NC, passed away on Tuesday March 14, 2023 peacefully at the Hospice Home of Alamance. He was a native of Alamance County and was the son of Charlie John Parrish and Sophronia Solomon Parrish, both deceased.

He is survived by his loving wife, Ann “Mickey” Parrish; his daughter, Carla Parrish Pulliam and husband Wallace; step children, Ray Frazier, Deborah Brown and husband James, and Allen Johnson and wife Patricia; grandchildren, Taylor Pulliam Couch and husband Matt, Spencer Pulliam Allmond and husband Tyler; he was dearly loved by his great grandchildren, Ellbie Couch, River Couch, Jett Couch, and Hudson Allmond, and a step granddaughter, Gracie Frazier; his sisters, Lillie Mae Williams and Dahlia Straughn, sister in laws, Betty Parrish and Martha Roberts, and his special baby, Missy Parrish. LB was preceded in death by his parents and his wife of 33 years, Mary “Lynn” Carver Parrish; his loving daughter, Sherry Lynn Parrish; a second wife, Rebecca Patterson Parrish; and his brothers, Frank Parrish and Arnie Roberts.

He was a member of People’s Church in Mebane, and found joy in spending time with his family and friends. He spent 40 plus years working for Dixie Yarn and RL Stowes of Mebane. He finished his career with the North Carolina Department of Transportation.

A funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday March 18, 2023 at the People’s Church in Mebane with the Pastor Brian Parker officiating. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 PM on Friday March 17, 2023 at the McClure Funeral Service in Mebane and other times at the residence of the family.
