Elsie Marie Howell

GRAHAM - Elsie Marie Perry Howell, 87, of 422 South Maple St., died Sunday, Jan. 26, 2014, at the Hospice Home of Burlington after one year of failing health and three weeks critical illness.Born in Alamance County, she was the daughter of the late Alsy Ambrose Perry and late Duell Bayliff Perry. She was also preceded in death by a son, Jeffrey Lynn Howell; four sisters and one brother. Elsie retired after 42 years from Southern Bell and then worked at Graham Underwriters for 14 years.Her love and devotion for her family, God and her church, Burlington Assembly of God, was the strength that carried her throughout life. Surviving her are 13 nieces and nephews.Public viewing will begin Tuesday, Jan. 28, 2014, at 11 a.m. at McClure Funeral Service in Graham.Funeral Services will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 29, 2014, in the McClure Funeral Home Chapel in Graham with the Rev. Howard Thompson officiating. Burial will follow in Graham Memorial Park.
