Elsie Young

Mrs. Elsie Young, 87, of Mebane passed away on April 15, 2018. She was the wife of the late Richard Vance Young and the daughter of the late James Battle Burgess and Nannie Payne Burgess Kelley. She worked at Kayser Roth , Burlington Industries and Trans Service Bus Line. She was a member of Hawfields Presbyterian Church. Mrs. Young enjoyed traveling and reading. Survivors, include her son, Roger Vance Young and his wife Diane, grandson; Steven and his wife Amanda, great grandchildren; Emily and Wyatt Young, brother; Delmer and wife Cheyra Burgess of Mebane, special caregiver Sue Williams, several brothers and sisters in-law and many nieces and nephews. In addition to husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a great granddaughter Angel Young. A funeral service will be held at 1:00pm on Wednesday April 18, 2018 at Hawfields Presbyterian Church. The family will receive friends from 12pm-1pm prior to the service on Wednesday at the church.
