Ervin Foster Iseley

Mr. Ervin Foster Iseley, 80, of Carolina Road, Burlington, NC, passed away on June 15, 2015 at Moses Cone Hospital in Greensboro. Born in Durham County, NC, he was the son of the late John Foster and Roena Slack Iseley. He was a 1953 Graduate of Pleasant Grove High School and served ten years in the US National Guard. He was a Charter member of the Faucette Township Fire Department with 27 years of service to his community. He retired after 42 years from Lucent Technologies and took up traveling, going on many different cruises around the world. He was a member of Carolina Christian Church where he served as an usher, church deacon, and sat on the Board of Directors for many years at the church. He had a passion for wood working throughout his life. Surviving are his wife of 57 years, Shirley Montgomery Iseley, of the home; daughter, Sandy Faulkner and husband Jimmy, of Burlington; son, Steve Iseley, of Burlington; grandchildren, Misty DeBlois, Brandyn Faulkner, and Victoria Faulkner; and great grandchildren, Sienna and Silas DeBlois. A funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM on Thursday June 18, 2015 at Carolina Christian Church with the Rev. Mark Mitchell officiating. Burial will follow in Pine Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 3:00 PM prior to the service at the church on Thursday, and other times at the residence of the family. McClure Funeral Service and Cremation Service in Graham are assisting the family.
