Esther Hobbs Lucas

Esther Hobbs Lucas, 65, went home to Heaven

on Tuesday, August 10, 2021 at Alamance

Regional Medical Center in Burlington, NC.

She was preceded in death by her father Rev.

R.J. Hobbs Sr. and mother Ruby M. Hobbs,

brothers Rev. Archie L. Hobbs and R.J. Hobbs,

Jr (Anne);and sister Blanche H. Allred (James).

She is survived by a sister Freda Hobbs Scarlett of Greenville, NC; brother

Clyde E. Hobbs (Barbara) of Amarillo, TX; sister-in-law Charlotte Hobbs

of Woodruff, SC; daughters Loretta C. Lucas and Jennifer M. Lucas of the

home; numerous nieces and nephews; and numerous great nieces and

nephews.

Ms. Lucas was a member of Ray of Hope Wesleyan Church, 410 N. Fourth

Street, Mebane, where her funeral service will be conducted Saturday

August 14 at 2pm. Rev. Roger Coburn will officiate. Visitation will be

from 1pm to 2pm at the church prior to the service. Burial will be in

Oakwood Cemetery.
