Eugene Wells, Jr., 74, of Mebane passed away on Thursday, June 8, 2023.He was a native of New Hanover County, Retired Maintenance employee, a member of The Lamb’s Chapel and a US Army veteran of the Viet Nam War. He is the son of the late Eugene “Buddy” Wells, Sr. &Helen (Lucille) Wells. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Peggy Courtney Wells.
He is survived by his daughter, Charlene Barbour and husband Chad of Wilmington; sons, Brian Wells, Eugene Wells, Timothy Wells, James Wells and several grandchildren.
A memorial service to celebrate his life will be 2:00 PM Saturday, July 1, 2023 at the Lamb's Chapel in Haw River by Ken Smith and Wade Rice. Online condolences may be sent to www.mcclurefuneralservice.net
