Eva Mae Vincent

GRAHAM – Eva Saunders Vincent, 91, passed away Friday, June 22, 2018 after a brief illness. She was born on May 24,1927 in Roxboro, NC to the late Robert and Ruby Blount Saunders. She was married to the late Rev. Willard H. Vincent, Sr. who passed away in 1991. Eva was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother; and was also very supportive to her husband during his ministry of over 25 years. She was retired from Burlington Industries. Eva loved life. She enjoyed family and friends and was a faithful member of Andrews Memorial Baptist Church in Graham, where she organized trips for the Golden Agers, and planned special events. She enjoyed reading, sewing, cooking, painting, and crocheting. Her family always looked forward to receiving something she made especially for them. Eva is survived by her sons; Willard Vincent, Jr. and wife Julianne; Wayne Vincent, and wife Lu; grandchildren, David Kirk Vincent (deceased) and wife Kim; Amy Vincent Whitfield and husband Lonnie; Christy Vincent McCawley and husband Danny; Jonathan Vincent and wife Kristin; Paul Loy and wife Bobbie; great grand children; and a great great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, grandson, sisters: Virginia Whitfield and Elsie Franklin; and brothers Winifred "Jack" Saunders, and Robert "Bob" Saunders. A funeral service will be held Monday, June 25, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Andrews Memorial Baptist Church. Officiating will be Rev. Brandon Rouse. Burial will follow in Linwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM prior to the service. Other times they will be at the home of Wayne and Lu Vincent, 421 Green St., Graham, NC.
