Evelyn Juanita "Jenny" Paul Mace, 85, of Mebane, went to be with Jesus, surrounded by her family, on Thursday, February 26th at her home, after several years of declining health.
A native of Person County, NC she was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and aunt who was loved by many. She retired from Dixie Yarns-RL Stowe after 40+ years of service.
She was a devoted member of Central Baptist Church of Mebane, for more than 30 years. She was a member of the choir for many years and was a member of the Ladies Helping Hands until she was no longer able to participate, due to her health. She loved her church family dearly and rarely missed a service.
Survivors include her husband of 48 years, Dwight Mace, of the home. Daughter, Lynn Hudson and husband Mike of Mebane, NC. Grandson, Mason Hudson and wife Melissa of Burlington. Geoff Hudson and wife Corey of Garner, NC Granddaughter, Amanda McCullen and husband Jordan of Asheboro, NC.
Great Grandchildren, Maverick Hudson, Ty Taylor, Lilla Hudson, Gunner Hudson, Gibson McCullen, Mack McCullen. And adopted "Daughter" Stacey Shanklin and Rickie. Many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents Jessie Lewis Paul and Mallie Sue Paul. Sisters, Katie Mae Coates, Alice Inez Crabtree and Patsy Moore. Also, her very special Shih Tzu companion, Lucy.
The funeral service will be held at 2pm on Tuesday, March 3, 2026 at Central Baptist Church in Mebane. The family will receive friends from 1pm-2pm on Tuesday at the church prior to the service.
The family of Mrs. Mace would like to extend a very special thank you to Sarah Gauger at Kernodle Clinic, Mebane for the amazing care that she provided to Jenny over the years. Also to Nicole Howard at Amedisys Hospice for her continued care in her final days. Her family is forever grateful for your compassion.
