Faye Williams Koch

HAW RIVER - Mrs. Faye Williams Koch, 93, of Haw River, passed away on Saturday November 2, 2013, at the Alamance Health Care Center in Burlington. She was the daughter of the late Yancey Clifton and Alice Readling Williams. She was a native of Haywood County and she was retired from Knit Ware Fabrics in Burlington. She was a member of Haw River Christian Church where she was a Sunday school teacher for many years and she also taught vacation Bible school and Children's Church. She enjoyed singing with her church friends and was in the singing group the Barbershop Belles. Mrs. Koch was a charter member of the Haw River Chapter of the "War Mothers" as well as working with the Haw River Museum for numerous years. She was an avid flower lover, always willing to work in her garden to keep her flowers beautiful. Survivors include her sons, Wade T. Koch and wife Gladys, of Burlington, and Harold E. Koch and wife Bonnie, of Haw River; sister, Ruth Smith, of Burlington; 4 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her Husband, Charles Vilas Koch. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday November 6, 2013 at the McClure Funeral Home Chapel in Graham with the Rev. James L. Rosser officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at McClure Funeral Home in Graham.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hopedale Church at 909 Deep Creek Church Rd., Burlington, NC 27217, or to the Hospice and Palliative Care Center of Alamance/Caswell at 918 Chapel Hill Rd., Burlington, NC 27215.
