Felicia Vernell Ellington

Elon Felicia Vernell Burgh Ellington, 49, of Elon died Saturday, January 21, 2017. She was a native of Alamance County and she was employed with Duke Primary Care in Mebane as a Patient Service Associate. She was a lifelong member of Children’s Chapel UCC where she was head of the junior usher board, a member of the usher board and a member of the Church choir. She was known for her loving and kind spirit and always had a smile on her face. Her joy and love was her family especially when it came to her grandchildren. Felicia would always open her home to anyone and was always the life of the party. For anyone who knew Felicia they knew of her love for shopping and fashion. She is survived by her husband, Brandon Cody Ellington of the home; daughter, Jazmin Strayhorn of Burlington; sons, Marcus Pinnix and wife Tiarra of Burlington, Rodney “R.J.” Lloyd and Nicholas Lloyd both of the home; grandchildren, Tiarra “Mu Mu” Pinnix and Marcus Pinnix, Jr.; Mother, Lola Everett Burgh, of Graham; Sisters, Connie Alston and husband Elder Isaac of Mebane, Liz Bennett and husband Derek of High Point, Monica Burgh of Whitsett; brother, Teddy Burgh and wife Ann of Wilmington; Best friend and soulmate, Donna Pressley of Burlington and many other loving family members. She was preceded in death by her father, Archie Burgh. A service to celebrate her life will be held 3:00 PM Sunday at Children’s Chapel UCC by Rev. Rodney K. Fox. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The friends will receive friends at the church from 2:00 – 3:00 before the service, and other times at the residences of the family.
