Flora Aylease Cooper

GRAHAM - Flora Aylease Smith Cooper, 97, passed away Wednesday, March 4, 2015, at her residence.Aylease was born in Alamance County. She was a homemaker and a member of Cornerstone Community Church.She is survived by her daughters, Barbara Ann Durham of Graham, Gladys Rebecca "Becky" Byrd (Ray) of Mebane; sons, Larry Lee Cooper and Roger Dale Cooper, both of the home; four grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.She was preceded in death by her husband, Ambus Ralph Cooper; parents, Luther Southern Smith and Cora Effie Greeson Smith; brothers, John, Jack, and Grief Smith; sisters, Gladys Thomason and Ola Phillips.A funeral service will be held Friday, March 6, 2015, at 2 p.m. at Cornerstone Community Church. Officiating will be the Rev. Stephen Hall. Burial will follow in Moore's Chapel cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church from 1 to 2 p.m. prior to the service.
