Florence Jeffries

Florence Jeffries, 91, of 1870 Jeffries Cross Rd., Burlington, NC passed on Monday, January 8, 2018 at Hospice Home of Burlington. Born in Alamance County to the late Harvey and Gertrude Jeffries. She was a member of Jeffries Cross Baptist Church and a retired school teacher. Surviving are nieces, Vanessa Jeffries Miranda of Burlington, Emily Gail Jeffries of Yanceyville, NC, and nephew, Joe Thomas (Joey) Jeffries, III; great-nephew, Kendrick Jeffries. two great-great-nieces, and two great-great-nephews; aunt Avery J. Corbett of Burlington. She is also survived by several cousins and many friends. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, January 13, 2018 at Jeffries Cross Baptist Church. The family will be at the church at 10:30 a.m. Saturday. Reverend Ben Morrow will be officiating the service. Burial will follow in the Martin Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery. Public viewing will be from 1 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Friday, January 12, 2018 at McClure Funeral Home in Graham. Flowers are welcome to the family. The family would like to give special thanks to the staff of Hospice of Alamance/Caswell and to the staff of Mebane Ridge Assisted Living and Memory Care for their compassion and care to Miss.
