Frances Crutchfield Allen

Mrs. Frances Crutchfield Allen, 98, of 225 South Melville Street Graham, passed away at 2:05 PM on Sunday March 15, 2015 at her residence. A native of Alamance County, NC, she was the daughter of the late Edward R and Lottie Allen Crutchfield. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and always known for her kindness. She was a member of the Graham Presbyterian Church where she was active in Church activities and served as chairman of the kitchen committee. She was also president of Friendship Sunday School class and was secretary and treasurer of the class and active in her circle at the Church. She loved working with her husband in the garden, in the yard, and planting her flowers. She loved to bake and cook for her family and friends and she loved going to her grandchildren’s ball games as she never missed a game. She was an avid Atlanta Braves fan and a lover of all sports. Survivors include her daughter, Susan Lynch and Husband Harold Jr., of Graham; son, Steve Allen and wife Belinda, of Moultrie, GA; sister, Marcel Wright, of Graham; Grandsons, Kevin Lynch and wife Marlena, Robert Lynch and companion Hailey Burbage, Jason Lynch and wife Ashley, Justin Lynch and wife Kristy, and David Allen; step grandson, Slate Green, great grandchildren, Noah, Alli, Ava, and Jaxon; step great grandchildren, Cadence, Hartley, and Kinley; and many loving nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Hugh A. “Bud” Allen Jr. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday March 18, 2015 at the Graham Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Steve Braswell officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 PM on Tuesday March 17, 2015 at the McClure Funeral Home in Graham, and other times at the residence of the family.
