Frederick Heinrich Escherich

Frederick Heinrich Escherich, 88, of Burlington passed away Monday, December 28, 2015 at Hospice Home. Fred was a native of Minnesota. He was retired from Lucent Technologies and was a veteran of the US Navy serving in WWII. Fred was an avid Minnesota Vikings and NC State fan. Fred very much enjoyed traveling with his wife and friends throughout the United States and Europe. Fred is survived by his son, Chris Escherich and his wife Brenda in Burlington. Step Grandchildren, Junior Thornhill and Destiny Thornhill. Step Great Granddaughter, Madison Elizabeth Thornhill. Brothers, Ken Christenson and Dick Christenson. He was preceded in death by his wife, Joan Berry Escherich. Daughter, Cherry Aulbert. Parents, Gaylord and Vivian Escherich. Brother, John Christenson. A funeral service will be held Saturday, January 2, 2016 at 2:00 PM at the McClure Funeral Home Chapel in Graham. Officiating will be Reverend Brian Rainbow. Entombment will follow with full military honors at Alamance Memorial Park Mausoleum. The family will receive friends at McClure Funeral Service from 12 noon until 2:00 PM prior to the service.
