Frederick L. Lakey

GRAHAM - Fredrick L. "Fred" Lakey, 86, died Tuesday, Dec. 2, 2014, at Alamance Regional Medical Center. He was a native of Henry County, Va., a retired carpenter and a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.He was preceded in death by his wife, Lois Jean Robertson Lakey; parents Charlie Harrison and Elizabeth Haynis Lakey and several brothers and sisters.He is survived by his son, Lindy R.. Lakey of Burlington; granddaughter, Brandy S. Lakey of Burlington; surviving sisters, Lorene Stamey of Burlington, Myrtle Moss of Asheboro and Lena Unitaski of Delaware.A graveside service will be held 2 p.m. Friday at Alamance Memorial Park, conducted by the Rev.
