George Chascin

George Anthony Chascin went to his heavenly home May 8 ^th ,2021. He is survived by his adopted family Denis and Irene Boucher, David, Michelle, and Susan along with the extended family and many friends he impacted throughout his life.

George was born October 3 ^rd , 1940 in Tewksbury, Massachusetts to a single mom that was not able to take care of him. He grew up in an orphanage void of love, affection and an understanding of his value and worth. One would think that a person would grow bitter for having grown up in such a difficult environment, but not our George. God blessed him with a sweet spirit, filled with gratitude, determination and resilience. He would meet and become fast friends with his neighbors, the Boucher family, in Massachusetts. He became their “adopted” son and would forever change the lives of the family.

Fast forward to 1983, George would move to North Carolina to help the Boucher’s run their Italian restaurant Angelo’s in Graham , NC. He was known for being the “behind the scenes guy” and worked there for 20+ years.  George loved sports and was a huge fan of the Celtics, Red Sox, Patriots, and the Bruins.  He had a passion for bowling and could never get enough of it.  He loved classic movies and old time rock ‘n’ roll. He was a big fan of Billy Graham.  George touched lives wherever he went. He will be missed forever.

The family will receive friends on Friday May 14, 2021 from 10-11am at Pleasant Garden Baptist Church.  A funeral service will follow at 11am in the church.  Burial will take place in Graham Memorial Park.
