Glenda Norris Overby

BURLINGTON - Glenda Norris Overby, 79, went home to be with her Lord, Nov. 22, 2015 after 17 years of failing health.She was born in Alamance County, retired from Kayser Roth and a member of Deep Creek Baptist Church for more than 60 years. She is survived by three daughters, Ellen Reid and husband Michael of Burlington, Linda Ferguson and husband Ron of Liberty and Robin Robinson of Burlington; son, C.D.; sister, Marilyn Handy; brothers, Larry Norris and wife Littie, Dan Norris and wife Becky; 14 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.She was preceded in death by her parents, Hulan Sprite Norris and Ercell Bayliff Norris; husband, William Newton Overby; daughter, Marie Moffitt; son, Dennis Overby; granddaughter, Tammy Whitlow.The family will receive friends 6 until 8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 24, 2015, at the McClure Funeral and Cremation Service in Graham, NC.Funeral Services will be held Wednesday Nov. 25, 2015, at 2 p.m. at Deep Creek Baptist Church officiated by the Rev. Curtis Oakley and the Rev. James Moon. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.The family will receive friends at other times at 300 Buckingham Drive, Mebane, NC.
