Gordon Ray Norris

BURLINGTON - Mr. Gordon Ray Norris, 74, passed away on June 13, 2013, at Hospice Home and Palliative Care of Alamance-Caswell. He was member of Riverdale Baptist Church. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend to all. Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Thelma Norris, of the home; son, Bryan Norris; daughter, Tammy Gilstrap and husband Layne and their children Michael, Dustin, and Bradley; daughter, Connie Burgess and husband Ronnie and their children Kristin and Ashley; daughter, Melissa Gregory and husband Aaron and their children Jimmy and Alexis; and eight surviving brothers and sisters. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ned and Geneva Norris. The family will receive friends on Saturday, June 15 from 2 to 4 p.m. at McClure Funeral Service in Graham, 1030 S. Main St., Graham, NC 27253, and at other times at the residence. A service will be conducted on Saturday, June 15 at 4 p.m. at the McClure Funeral Chapel in Graham with the Rev. Johnathan Graves, the Rev. Norman Fargis, the Rev. David Jackson and the Rev. Drew Roth officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Hermon United Methodist Church cemetery.
