Gwendolyn Glosson Baysden

Gwendolyn Glosson Baysden of Burlington, 94, passed away Sunday, April 21, 2019 at The Home Place of Burlington. Gwen was born in Alamance County to Endsley and Rosa Johnson Glosson. She was a homemaker and a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church.

Gwen is survived by: daughter, Dianne Walker (Russell) of Kannapolis, NC; daughter, Joy Flournoy (Michael) of Mechanicsville, VA; son, James Davis Baysden, Jr. (Jan) of Burlington, NC; son, Paul A Baysden, Sr. (Robin) of Burlington, NC; son-in-law, Wilbur Newlin; seven grandchildren, and ten great grandchildren; and sister, Sarah Hinshaw of Siler City, NC.

Gwen was preceded in death by her husband, James Davis Baysden, Sr., and daughter, Jean Newlin, as well as three sisters and seven brothers.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, April 27, 2019, at 11:00 AM, at Mt Olive Baptist Church. Officiating will be Rev. David Crowther and Rev. Ray Gooch. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends in the fellowship hall of the church following the service.
