H. Fern Jarrett

On June 30, 2015, Hazel Fern Cook Jarrett, 97, of Graham, died peacefully following a brief illness. She is survived by her daughter Susan Jarrett Ready, of Greenbelt, Maryland; sons C. Steven Jarrett of Swepsonville and John C. Jarrett of Graham; grandchildren Carol Ready, of Greenbelt, Stephen Ready of Menlo Park, California and Taylor Jarrett of Emerald Isle, N.C.; and great-granddaughter Amaryllis Ready of Menlo Park. She was predeceased by her husband of 52 years, Charles Luther Jarrett; son David Lee Jarrett; parents David Talmadge Cook and Jessie Virgie Fowler Cook; brother Grady Lee Cook; and sisters E. French Cook Jarrett and Ivora C. Cook Patton. A celebration of her life will be held Saturday, July 25, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. at the McClure Funeral Home Chapel in Graham. Following the service, the family will welcome friends at Fern’s home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Children’s Museum of Alamance County, 217 S. Main St., Graham, NC 27253.
