Hannelore Brady

Hannelore Brady, 83 of Graham, North Carolina, went into the presence of the Lord on Monday, October 30 in Charlotte, North Carolina. Hanne was born in Frankfurt/Main, Germany to Elisabeth and Wilhelm Dembach on August 27, 1934. She married Jack Brady in 1965 and immigrated to the United States in 1967. Despite the hardship of growing up during wartime Germany, Hanne was a spirited person who loved life, her family, her many friends and her dog Teddy. She exuded a joyfulness that was felt and appreciated by everyone she met. Hanne was preceded in death by her parents, Wilhelm and Elisabeth Dembach; her husband Jack Brady; and her sisters Hildegard Schomann and Gertrude Small. Hanne is survived by her sons Michael Brady (Kathleen) and Patrick Brady (Joudy); her stepchildren Keith Brady, Mike Brady and Sandy Brady; eight grandchildren: Michael Sawyer-Brady, Alex Brady, Matthew Brady, Benjamin Brady, Jennifer Brady, Robbie Brady, Stephanie Brady and Jonathan Brady; and several great-grandchildren. Hannelore is also survived by her very best friend of many years, Shirley Holt. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Elmcroft Assisted Living and Charlotte Hospice and Palliative Care Center for their support in her final days. Visitation will be held at 12:30pm on Saturday, November 4 in the auditorium of New Covenant Fellowship Church, Rogers Road, Graham, NC. It will be followed by a service in the auditorium at 1:30pm. McClure Funeral Home in Graham is handling the funeral arrangements. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to New Covenant Fellowship Church.
