Harold Lee Garner, 73, of Ramseur passed away on Thursday, February 27 at the Hospice house of Randolph County. He was a native of Alamance County and retired from Burlington Industries and worked with Deep River Fabricators and a member of the East Coast Worship Center in Asheboro. He loved to watch wrestling and riding around finding yard sales, visiting the NC Mountains but nothing put a smile on his face like his grandchildren.
He is the husband of Bobbie Haga Garner who survives and the son of the late Floyd Edmond Garner and the late Elizabeth Poe Cates. He was also preceded in death by son, Brian Carter and sister, Nancy Poe.
Survivors other than his wife of the home include daughters, Diane Thornton and Ann Garner; sisters, Frances Auman and Bonnie Wise; brothers, Floyd Garner, Jr., Vernon Garner and Billy Garner; 9 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
A celebration of his life will be held at 12:00 Noon on Friday March 7, 2025, at the McClure Funeral Home Chapel in Graham by Pastor Scottie Daniel and Rev. John Harmon. Entombment will follow in the mausoleum at Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior before the service at the funeral home.
