Harry Lavern Petersen

Mr. Harry Petersen, 85, of Advance, NC passed away on June 30, 2016. He was the son of the late Walter and Nancy Mitchell Petersen. He was a graduate of Elmhurst College and Central Bible Insitute and Seminary. He was employed by Western Electric/AT&T for 32 years. After retiring from AT&T he became an ordained minister with the Assemblies of God and ministered to several senior communities for the next 28 years. Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth Rasmussen Petersen, daughters; Susan Stainback (Erwin), Debbie Atkinson (Chuck) and Gail Warren (Rod), a son; Ron Petersen (Darlene), 2 brothers, 2 sisters, 9 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Other than his parents he was preceded in death by a daughter Caryn Petersen Smith. A memorial service will be held at 1:00pm on July 16, 2016 at Calvary Church 5067 Chamblee Dunwoody Rd, Dunwoody, GA 30338.
