Harvey "Coleman" Dodson

Harvey “Coleman” Dodson, 89, went home to be the Lord on March 25, 2022.  He was the son of the late Hugh and Rosa Dodson.  Coleman loved bluegrass music and baseball.  He worked for White’s Furniture in Mebane before he retired.  He is survived by his wife, Margaret Peggy Dodson; daughter, Susan Dodson; sons; Thomas Dodson, Kevin Dodson (Sarah) and Hugh Moore; five grandchildren and five great grandchildren.  Other then his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, Herman Dodson; sister, Linda Dodson and a great grandchild.  A funeral service will be held at 3pm on Tuesday March 29, 2022 in the McClure Funeral Chapel in Mebane.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 2-3 prior to the funeral.  Burial will follow in Chestnut Ridge United Methodist Church Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Children’s Bible Fund at Breakthrough Community Church PO Box 829 Mebane, NC 27302.
