Hazel R. Cooper

Hazel Kathleen Roach Cooper, 87, passed away on Tuesday June 20, 2017. She became Heaven bound at 12:45 AM. She has a new body, Praise the Lord, she has a new life. You may remember seeing her walking, carrying or pushing her “Baby Lee” dog in a small cart, wearing a baseball cap on her head, on HWY 87 near Sleepy Hollow Trailer Park. She was unique, independent, feisty, loving and giving. She had no family to help her. In her healthy days she faithfully attended Community Baptist Church in Graham. Mrs. Cooper saved every bulletin she received, and kept them neatly bound. Even though she has no surviving family, her faithful caregivers, Pastor Floyd and Jackie Repass were always there to show her love and to see she was taken care of. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday June 22, 2017 at the Community Baptist Church located at 1124 Hanford Rd. Graham, NC. Burial will follow in Alamance Memorial Park. Officiating will be Pastor Floyd Repass. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the Church on Thursday.
