Hazel Mccane Wolfe

Hazel McCane Wolfe, 71, of 1614B Morningside Dr., Burlington, NC, passed away Friday May 9th, 2014 at Alamance Regional Medical Center. She was a native of McDowell Co., West Virginia and the daughter of the late Snowden and Mable Day McCane. Hazel was a bookkeeper in the medical field and spent time working at Wal-Mart after she had retired. Hazel was also a member of the Lighthouse Chapel where she was known for praising the Lord with such a beautiful voice and she was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was such an amazing woman who had touched the lives of many people. Surviving are her daughters, Tara Wolfe Jones and husband Tim, of Liberty; and Renee Wolfe Justesen and husband Charles “Chuck”, of Burlington; grandchildren: Trevor Lee, Bobbie Jo, Brittany Rae, Corey James, William Zachary, Joshua Leo, Elizabeth Marie and Emily Michelle; 6 great-grandchildren; granddaughter in law Stephanie Jane whom holds a special place in Na Na’s heart; brother: Oliver Clayton McCane and a host of many loving nieces and nephews; special friend Martha Soloman Mabe; and her loving companion “Lola”. A Memorial Service will be held at 6:00 pm Thursday, May 15th, 2014 at Lighthouse Chapel with the Rev. D. L. Perry officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Lighthouse Chapel’s musical funding, located at 2006 Maple Ave., Burlington, NC 27215.
