Helen Mchone Dennis

Helen McHone Dennis, 78, of Mebane went home to be with her Lord on Tuesday, April 14, 2020.  She was a native of Wythe County, VA, she was a graduate of George Wythe High School, and a member of Eastside Baptist Church. She was employed in child care where she loved working with babies and young children. She loved laughing, loving, music, singing, dancing and people. She never met a stranger and always gave hugs to everyone. She was always proud of her family. She was the daughter of the late Lunnie & Annie McHone.

She is survived by her husband, Richard L. Dennis of the home; son, Les Hilton of Nashville, TN; siblings, Evelyn East and husband Garney of Max Meadows, VA, Irene Manuel of Elon, Margaret Gallimore of Madisonville, KY, J.R. McHone and wife Libby of Wytheville, VA, Jerry McHone and wife Shirley of Wytheville, VA; numerous nieces and nephews in several states; in laws, Ethel S. Dennis of Durham, Cleo Dennis of Durham and Steve Dennis and wife Debbie of Creedmor, NC

A private graveside service to celebrate her life will be held Friday morning conducted by Pastor Chuck Perkins. McClure Funeral Home in Mebane is serving the family.
