Helen Gray Faucette

Helen Gray Kidd Faucette died at home on Sunday, August 2, 2015 after 1 week of failing health at Alamance Regional Medical Center. Helen was born October 14, 1929 in Alamance County to Hattie Smith Kidd and D. P. Kidd. She grew up in Graham, NC where she met James David Faucette, whom she married on July 3, 1948. Helen is survived by her brother Jimmy (wife, Jean Faye); her son-in-law, Terry; and her granddaughter, Reané (husband, Scott). She was preceded in death by 2 brothers, 5 sisters, James and their daughter, Brenda. Helen lived in Alamance county all her life and went to work in the textile mills at an early age to help support her family. A good Christian with a generous personality, she wanted to feed everyone and was frequently in the kitchen baking sweets. She also enjoyed working in her yard and took pride in the home she and James built. Visitation will be at McClure Funeral Home, 1030 South Main Street, Graham, NC on Thursday, August 6 from 12:00 to 1:00 pm followed by funeral services in the chapel at 1:00 pm. Other times the family will be at the home at 1318 Stone Street Extension, Haw River, NC. Interment will be at Graham Memorial Park.
