Helen Melchor Page

Helen Verona Melchor Page of Mebane NC passed the bounds of this life on Wednesday, June 8th 2016. She was preceded in death by her parents Grady William Melchor and Helen Melchor Livengood, her husband Roy Page, and her brother John Melchor. She is survived by her son Fred Melchor, daughter in-law Lynn Melchor, and granddaughter Ambrielle Melchor as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Helen enjoyed a long career centered on caring for others. The majority of her career spanned from nursing to eldercare facility management. Then, wishing to spend the remainder of her career supporting the start of life rather than the end of life, she began working with children. She ultimately retired as a teacher from Creative Day School in Elon, NC. Helen loved animals, and throughout her life she enjoyed cats, dogs, birds and a variety of other pets. She never met an animal she did not like. Therefore, in lieu of flowers, please celebrate her love of animals by donating in her honor to the Humane Society of Alamance County.
