Mr. Henry Harmon Agnew, 74, of Gibsonville died Wednesday, October 25, 2017 at Alamance Regional Medical Center. Henry was born in Alamance County on January 27, 1943, the son of Charles Herbert and Ruth Davis Agnew. He was a retired weaver from Cone Mills, having worked in plants in Haw River, Mineola and White Oak. He had a playful sense of humor. Henry enjoyed collecting a variety of things including old cars, lighters, knives and other antique items. Survivors include his wife, Doris Waldrop Agnew; daughter, Lorie Tickle of Whitsett; son, Barry Agnew of Gibsonville; grandchildren, Ryan Moore, Micheal Moore, Jonathan Tickle, Joshua Agnew, Tiffany Allison, Alan Junior Agnew and Alissa Agnew; 5 great-grandchildren; sister, Ella Ruth Montgomery (Billy) of Burlington; and brothers, Norman Agnew (Rose) of Mebane and Jeff Agnew (Donna) of Burlington. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Alan, brothers, CH and Ronnie; and sister, Treva Daniels. The family will receive friends at McClure Funeral and Cremation Service in Graham on Saturday morning from 10:00 – 10:45 am. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Saturday in the chapel of McClure Funeral and Cremation service in Graham. Pastor Lee Edwards will preside.
