Henry Gray Harris

MEBANE - Henry Gray Harris, 76, of 303 Buckingham Drive, Mebane, died Monday, June 10, 2013 at the Hospice Home in Burlington. He was a native of Pitt County, retired from Pritchard Paint and Glass in Raleigh and served in the U.S. Army. Surviving are his children, Glenn Ray Harris, Jeffrey Allen Harris and Melanie Harris Weisbeck; stepchildren, Brenda McCandless, Wanda Holbrook and Kathy Watson; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren; sisters, Eunice Mae Bell, Irene Nichols, Barbara Coggins, Pearline Hamm, Wanda Suggs and Cathy Bottoms; brothers, Kenneth Harris and Bruce Harris. He was preceded in death by his wife; Dorothy Shelton Harris; parents, James Earl and Eunice H. Harris; sister, Edna Harris; brothers, Linwood Earl Harris, Raymond Harris and E.J. Harris; and one grandchild. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday in the McClure Funeral Home Chapel in Mebane by Pastor Billy Lawson and Pastor Dan Ramsey. Burial will follow in Westminster Gardens in Greensboro with Military Honors. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. prior to the service and at other times at the residence.
