Herman Wayne Branch

Wayne Branch, passed away peacefully at his home in Haw River on Wednesday, November 27, 2024 at the age of 74. Born in Reidsville, NC , he was the son of the late Herman Branch and Betty Priddy.

He married the love of his life, Janice on August 4, 1984. They shared a wonderful and loving 40 years of marriage. Wayne was a kind, compassionate, loving man who cared deeply for his wife and family. He had several hobbies, reading, bowling and music. He was in several bands, two of which were Wisdom (a rock and roll band) where he sang Elvis Presley songs and Southern Cross (a country band) where he sang George Jones songs. The crowd loved him.

Wayne spent his entire work life in the sock and hosiery business. (most of that time was with Kayser Roth). Wayne was a plant manager and his employees loved and respected him. He never considered himself the boss, he treated people the way he wanted to be treated.

Survivors include his wife Janice; 11 fur babies; sisters, Carolyn Hopkins (Todd), Donna Dameron, Deborah Pulliam (Ray); brother, Ronnie Sims; nephew, Brian Allred; niece, Brandi Boltz (Ben) and great nice, Ellie Boltz.

Visitation will be at 3:00 at Powerline Church of the Nazarene (701 Manning Avenue, Elon, NC 27244) on Saturday December 7, 2024 with a service to celebrate his life following. The service will be officiated by Pastor Jerry Gardner.
