Hilda Piper Burns

Hilda Carol Piper Burns, 84, of Burlington passed away Saturday, August 4, 2018 at the Hospice Home of Burlington. She was born in Alamance County and she was a retired hosiery employee. She is survived by her children, Linda Burns Coble and Cindy Burns Hopkins (Woody) both of Burlington. Sister, Judith Dix (Earl) of Graham. Three Grandchildren and four great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Linda Burns who passed away in 1981. Her parents, Walter and Willie Conklin Piper. Her sisters, June Hewitt and Grace Andrews. A funeral service will be held Tuesday, August 7, 2018 at 2:00 PM in the McClure Funeral Home Chapel in Graham. Officiating will be Rev. Norman Fargis. Burial will follow in Pine Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM prior to the service. Other times they will be at the home of Cindy and Woody Hopkins, 3134 A NC 49, Burlington, NC. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Alamance/Caswell, 914 Chapel Hill Rd., Burlington, NC 27215.
