Hilda Burchell Smith, 92, of Graham passed away Friday, November 24, 2017 at Duke Hospital. She was a native of Alamance County. She was a member of Moore’s Chapel Baptist Church. Hilda was retired from Dixie Yarns. Hilda is survived by her sons; Sammy David Smith and Terry Lynn Smith (Carolyn) both of Graham. Grandchildren; Kristy Smith Lynch (Justin), Karrie Smith Crowell (Jason) and Brad Smith. Great Grandchildren; Ava, Jaxson, Morgan, Kaycee, Moriah, Lillian, Justus, Jordan, and Brooklyn. She was preceded in death by; Husband, Sam Monroe Smith. Parents; Everette David and Ada Murray Burchell. Brothers; Billy Gene Burchell, Wade Everette Burchell, and Bobby Ray Burchell. A funeral service will be held Monday, November 27, 2017 at 2:00 PM at the McClure Funeral Home Chapel in Graham. Officiating will be Rev. Brian Dehart. Burial will follow in Moore’s Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends at McClure Funeral Home in Graham from 1 until 2 prior to the funeral service.
