Hope (Williams) Whitmore

Mrs. Hope Williams Whitmore, 53 of Mebane, NC passed away on January 6, 2021at her residence. A native of Alamance County, she is the daughter of Howard James and Helen Marie Williams, who survives. Hope was a lady who loved many things like crochet, reading, shopping for a bargain, finding home town restaurants to try out, cooking for her family and friends but she loved nothing more than her family, especially her granddaughter. She and her family would take trips and vacations at White Lake which she treasured so dearly and she had a special love for British TV and everything English. Hope was a proud member of Bethseda Baptist Church where she worked with the youth ministries and was always giving back to her Church and Church family. Hope was employed with Duke Urgent Care and always looked forward to how she was able to help others. Hope was known for being a simple lady and laid back and always put others needs above her own. Survivors include her husband of 22 years, Rodney Tyrone Whitmore; her children, Sierra Whitmore (Henry Cooke), Ashleigh Kessler (James) and Dalton C. Whitmore; her loving granddaughter, Shae Kessler; a sister, Heather Williams (Gifford Etherton) and her loving nieces, nephews cousins and other extended family. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday January 11, 2021 at the McClure Funeral Home Chapel in Mebane with the Pastors Clyde Whitmore and Dr. William Wilson Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Bethseda Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 3 until 5 PM on Sunday January 10, 2021 at the McClure Funeral Home in Mebane. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Dalton’s and Sierra’s College Fund at State Employee’s Credit Union as they both start school in the near future. As a request of the family and in honor of Hope, they ask for family and friends to dress casual as she would have wanted everyone to be comfortable.
