Howard James Williams

Howard James Williams, 81, of Cedar Grove passed away on December 30, 2024. He was a native of Horry County, SC, retired from IBM and a member of Hebron Methodist Church. He was well known as a man who loved to talk, an avid bee keeper and loved to bake and give away cakes. He is the son of the late George Allard and Elnita Fowler Williams. He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Hope Whitmore; sisters, Blanche Causey & Mildred Hall; brothers, Austin Williams & George Williams.

He is survived by his wife, Sara Lefler Williams of the home; Daughter, Heather Lynn Williams & Gifford Etherton of Elon; step son, Glenn & Laura Spoon of Cedar Grove; Brothers, Mike Williams of Burlington & Billy Williams of Mebane; sisters, Polly Martin of Graham, Gayle Williams of SC and Alice Rogers of Fork, SC; grandchildren, Ashleigh Kessler, Sierra Cooke and Dalton Whitmore; great granddaughter, Shae Kessler; son in law, Rodney Whitmore of Mebane.

A service to celebrate his life will be 3:00 PM Sunday at Hebron Community Church by Pastor Dustin James and Pastor Keith Spake. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
